Indiana Timberwolves
DM “Wild Bill” Childers and DM Bob “Spongebob” Hollen decided to go out and have some fun together. Bob placed a single faced 8’ EMC at a Body Shop and earned 1,690 in commission! Then he got a referral from the owners of a Motel in a town which was loaded with EMC’s. Bob ended up the week with 4,937 in his pocket! He helped THREE more businesses for another 3,800 in commissions! Great job, Bob-Bob! Bill Childers helped SEVEN different businesses without blinking an eye! One thing is for sure, Bill is not cherry picking any particular kind of business! Bill helped new Dealer Dan Lancaster earn his icebreaker at a Tanning Salon! He brought home a cool 857 in commissions. Dan said, “I sure am liking this business.”
Bruce Miller started the month with a boom! His first week his total sales volume was 22,611. The following week was even better for Bruce… his volume was 25,713! His FIVE Grand-a-Week plaque will be for 5,400 with FIVE contracts. He also qualified for the prestigious Sijan Award! Our hats are off to you, Bruce!
Meanwhile, Carrie Burns was helping a Tanning Salon with an LED-40, an Antique Business with a Model 46, an Auto Sales Business with another Model 46 and a Real Estate Broker with an ISLED40-4 with overage! Keith Hudson found the owners of a Market very receptive to his story. They ordered TWO 8’ EMC’s and he took home 2,267! He also found a Restaurant /Bar with a Big Sig. New panels on the way! Allan Jones chipped in with an ISLED-40 and a LED-40 at a Uniform Business and a Bar.
Alan McCamey is a new Timberwolf and has had a hard time getting in the field since he started. It’s not a lack of determination or a lack of trying! Alan’s eight year old daughter is finally home to spend precious time with family. The Signtronix family wishes her well. Our thoughts and prayers are with her. Please welcome Mark Kunkle, Thomas Myers, and Joseph Carson to the Timberwolf lair. They are off and running!
Arkansas Diamonds
The Arkansas Diamonds are proud to announce Sonny Holderbaugh has been promoted to DM! He has been working with a couple of new dealers in the Memphis area and we are looking forward to hearing great things in the future.
DM Kirnan Lewis and RM Howard Foy have been on the Road sharpening their skills. Kirnan sold a pair of 8’ EMC’s to an Insurance Agency and Howard followed with placing a pair of 8’ EMC’s to a Real Estate Office!
Dealer Doug Bottoroff called in to report that he placed a pair of IS-40 units to a Pet Grooming Business. Doug is working the presentation and it’s paying off already!
Texas Trailblazers
In a last minute dramatic fashion, Will Welsh has won the Trailblazer edition of March Madness! Going into the last round, Will was handicapped three contracts. Yet he still pulled out a one contract victory over rivals Alan King, Macie Condra and Ken Hicks. It was a battle for the ages and only Will’s determination and working late on the last Saturday of the contest earned him the title of ‘best of the best.’ During the last round Will wrote NINE contracts!
Will’s victory is heightened even more considering the powerful months of several of his competitors in the Trailblazer region. Alan King wrote 11 contracts in April totaling 80,000 in volume to break the all time regional record set by Will Welsh in 2005. Macie Condra’s month was full of heroic effort with three beautiful placements to Mexican Restaurants. Ken Hicks also placed three great locations during the last round.
Steve Harms continues to show why he’s a District dynamo. He personally sold over 40,000 in April and his growing District had a ‘BIG MONTH’!
Chris Griffith and Tony Charles are on a roll lately. Chris wrote an ISLED-40 and Tony placed a Model 46 from the Landmark Series. Way to go, Trailblazers!
Wisconsin Wizards
RM Tony McGuire broke his own personal sales record! He said, “I am getting back in the game and only sold a small deal amounting to an 8,000 commission! Okay, it was a great day!
Thanks, Vernie Boren, for your kick butt support! That’s it. Until bigger becomes better, thanks, Signtronix!” Great job, Tony!
California Landsharks
The California Landsharks are cruising the waters with some new team members. Tony Shumaker has jumped in the water and started swimming right away. After a day in the field with DM Tim Schomer, Tony got his icebreaker and 603 in his pocket. He quickly placed TWO more ISLED combos. Coincidence? I think not. Tony placed an ISLED Combo at a Liquor Store near RM Jim Callahan’s house in California. He will get to see that sign every time he exits the freeway!
New Dealer Kevin Wise also broke the ice! Kevin was having a difficult day and called his DM Ron MacLachlan, “Just loosen up and be yourself, smile and have fun!” He turned around and on his 5th lite-up placed an ISLED-40 combo.
Scott Willis and wife, Suzana, turned in a beautiful ISLED-40-4. The last three orders were all for Insurance Companies! Scott and Suzana are a dynamic selling team and are just getting their momentum started.
Tim Schomer turned in a Model 58 with a 4-line EMC that he closed on his way out of town to meet up with the Regional team on the road. The Church bought a package for over 30K. Nice way to start a road trip! Tim met up with Jim Callahan, Dan Stanley, Ron MacLachlan, Del Gerard, Joe Avila and Scott and Suzana for a week of power-selling. The road trip was very profitable and Jim had to weigh the orders instead of counting them!
Del Gerard walked into a 35 year old business, “Speedy Zapatos”- no they don’t sell shoes…they sell incredible Tacos and Mexican Food. A father and son team absolutely loved the sign. Joe Avila walked into a Bridal Store that had just signed up for the Yellow Pages the day before. Joe said, “That’s okay, let me show you anyway so you will know what is available for the future” The future came quick and he left with a contract!
DM Dan Stanley contributed FOUR contracts. Dan and Jim also got a chance to hit the field together and have some fun. Five light ups and one sale! Dan and Jim enjoyed working together and learned from each other.
Long Time veteran Mark Warneke has rejoined Signtronix “Mark is a great salesman and will be a wonderful addition to our championship team” said Jim. Also Marco Ospina has joined the team. Name sound familiar? Marco’s uncle is Julian Ospina, the sales record breaker of the 70’s for Gulf. Marco has a big reputation to follow.
St. Louis Road Warriors
The St. Louis Road Warriors are having fun working together and writing lots of orders wherever they go. Their road trip to Lake of the Ozarks to Tom and Sandy Colvin’s lake home was a great success! The next week gas hit 3.50 a gallon and the Dean Team responded with gas cards for Dealers who sold! Mother’s Day came and a challenge was made for everyone to win something special for the women in their lives including a manicure/pedicure and a full massage at a day spa for the Mom in their lives.
At one point during the month, Ron Gither and Seth McNeal were tied with 14 contracts. Bonus signs were won by several Dealers! Tim McNeal sold sign #13 by the 13th of the month! Also, Congrats, Tim, on your latest Sijan Award!
Sandy Colvin had five contracts in six days for over 3000 earned in one week! Jon McOwen wrote four contracts the first week in the month, a challenge made to him by President Tom Johnson! Ron English continues to impress us with a variety of contracts.
Brandon Gither was busy with mentor and father Ron Gither writing up two Tri-Color E.M.C.’s at two separate Bowling Centers. They gladly took home 6500 for the two locations! Travis Popp is rewarded both financially and educationally in his new career, with his unique ability to command personal power through language and learning the presentation. Road Warriors welcome aboard new dealers, Nicole Zipoy, Jeff Loomis, Chris Biesterfeld, Jim Spargo, Christopher Bray, & husband/wife team Charles and Marion Hefti.
RM Jeff Dean writes, “Many times people get into our business for the money it can make their families. These same people, after spending a few days on the road with us, find a home. They discover that a team of people unified to share a common focus based upon common goals, personal growth and education, will carry each other to greater heights. To sum it up, we get in for the money; we stay for the personal growth our family sees in us.”
Atlanta Bulldogs
The Atlanta Bulldogs are Big Sluggers! The region hit the road and Bill Brown was the Volume leader! He placed a double-sided FOUR line tri-color EMC to a Bar/Nightclub and an LED-40 to a Christian Book Store. Bill pocketed over 3400 and qualified for his Three Grand-A-Week Suit!
DM Jamie Scott got in his six lite-ups a day and along the way helped out a Mexican Store and a Day Care! Marvin Paige pitched in with Model 3212 panels. Leading the group in contracts was RM Taylor Hall with… count em’ FOUR contracts in one week! The Dawgs are ready for another great month!
While the Atlanta Bulldog Dealers are big sluggers in the field, Taylor’s daughter, Cameron, is the resident little slugger this season with a starring position on the T-Ball team! Great job, Cameron, on a winning season!
Lone Star Rhinos
Gary Scheible is back after six months of being out sick. He is back and stronger than ever! Gary has turned in several contracts and plans to travel the country and continue to write them up. Welcome back, Gary!
Cory Splonick recently purchased a car! He has won several awards and absolutely loves Signtronix. He loves the opportunity of every day being a challenge and the immediate rewards! Cory is always surprised with things a Dealer can come across in the field. Recently, he called on an Antique Furniture Store and was absolutely shocked to find the owners in their unmentionables! Luckily for us, there’s never a boring moment for a sign guy!
RM Carmen Rodriguez said, “Thank you, Rhinos, for your contribution toward our amazing team and a great month.”
Carolina Panthers
RM Paul and Beth Shawley are so proud of DM Bill Bennetti! He is #1 DM YTD in Contracts! He’s very consistent in writing orders in front of his Dealers every day.
Roger Paul brought in FOUR orders to show off to everyone. Steve Loftin is a personal recruit of Roger Paul’s and doing extremely well! Congratulations, Steve.
Howard Naylor is one of the Panthers up and coming Dealers. He is writing orders left and right! Jack Pellegrino placed THREE locations last week. One was a Model 46 Southwest and TWO EMC’s…plus another Model 46 earning him 3,300!
Richard Sargent placed two orders last week using his God given talents to help his customers. The Panthers would like to welcome two new Dealers to the team, Joe Nap and Dean Ross. Both already love our business! They enjoyed seeing Bill write multiple orders in their presence.
Tulsa Oilers
RM Richard Houston has been training new Dealers and hasn’t hesitated to show them what a five-time Sijan winner can do! Richard placed a Model 34, and THREE ISLED-40’s! That’s FOUR separate contracts in one day.
Richard is looking for his sixth Sijan Award. He just can’t seem to get enough. His first day out in search of the Sijan, he made a called on a Signtronix customer with a model 412. He found new owners and left with an order for new panels and an 8ft EMC!!!
Richard Houston is pumped about his new Dealers! Please welcome Russ Harris and Dan Newberry to the Oilers team! Russ went on a road trip with Richard and they found plenty of ice to break! Richard and Russ arrived at their destination on Tuesday evening and Richard immediately placed an ISLED-50 with replacement panels. Russ was so excited that he went out this morning and, on his FIRST LITE-UP, placed Model 510 Panels at a Carpet Store! His icebreaker made him 500 richer! Good job, Russ!
Pocono Mountaineers
RM Denny Giacobe was working in NYC and called on ‘West End Auto’, an Auto Repair Shop. The owner told Denny he had all the customers he could handle. With some probing, Denny found out the real problem and how a Signtronix sign would fix it.
The business’ current sign simply said, “West End Auto”. It didn’t say anything about repair. Denny cleverly shared with the owner that when people slowed down in front of his business they were not looking to see what kind of business it was, they were slowing down to see what cars were in the parking lot… because ‘West End Auto’ sounds like a used car lot not an Auto Repair Shop! The owner’s eyes were completely opened! He quickly signed the contract for a Model 34 double faced sign.
Worcester Vikings
Gary Taitz is making Spring 2008 memorable. He is working the program better than ever! He recently placed a Model 46 and a Model 34 to a Liquor Store. Way to go!
Walter Halpin is also performing exactly as you’d expect a Viking to! He is doing a great job training and selling. He is especially good at building value into his presentation and the signs. He had a little mishap with his computer but is still out there making deals. Walter doesn’t let anything stop him from going into the field! RM Lissie Wagner is very proud of her team of Vikings!
Georgia Golden Eagles
RM Joel Froeschle was working in Augusta, Georgia south end with brand new Dealer, Morty Irons. While training, Joel placed an ISLED-40 at a Barber Shop! While there, a customer in the Barber Shop was very interested in the sign.
Later in the day on the opposite side of Augusta, by chance, they ran into the Barbershop’s customer. He owned a Restaurant and was eager to get an ISLED-40 to promote his specials! Way to go, Joel and Morty!
Steel City Eagles
It’s pretty rare to see ALL the Eagles on the road together, but they had been planning this Steel City Eagle Sales Extravaganza for months! They made a great start and together sold SIX contracts the first day out together! Congratulations to Roman Mitchell, Ryan Popko, Billy Runyan, David Howard, Herc Riggle, Frank Marzullo and Steve Johnson for their quick success! Mark Gowen, Steve Johnson, Jason Kennedy and Roman Mitchell chimed in and helped bring their total to 14+ contracts!
Following the Eagle road trip, David Howard decided to work late and got lost! He pulled into an old, closed Gas Station to turn his car around. David couldn’t see inside the building due to the boards on the windows, but he heard something going on inside. With a little investigating, David found a husband and wife team remodeling the gas station and turning it into a Bar. Jackpot!!! Within half an hour, David placed a Model 48! You never know what you will find out when it’s late and you’re lost.
Heart of America
Steve Cooley prides himself on being in touch with his home town. So naturally when the High School decided their old marquee sign had seen better days, Steve was there with a great school logo in 3D with a pair of 8 ft message centers. The sign was paid for by an alumni group from the school. The head of that group is also an influential member of a local Church. A new LED-40 is headed their way to announce sermon topics and church happenings!
New Dealer Keith Kelly got his icebreaker with a pair of LED-40’s at a Convenience Store. They had been bemoaning the fact that their windows were so tinted nobody could see anything inside, or even the signs hanging in the window. When Keith showed the partners the LED40 from across the street through the dark glass, they cheered, they clapped and then they bought!
Jason Batey broke the ice at a Florist Shop. The owner knew he needed to be seen in a jungle of businesses and the bright ISLED-40 was just the right fix. Jon Eckhoff capped his month off with a pair of 8ft EMC’s for a locally owned Convenience Store located across the street from a major chain convenience store. With local info, as well as specials and auto repair specials, the message centers will pay for themselves in no time!
Jeff Winberry isn’t choosy about who he helps. A Beauty Shop saw the value of an ISLED-40, a Camera Shop needed an ISLED-40 to stand out in a shopping center and a Used Furniture Store has an ISLED-40 on the way to replace their painted windows. Top producer for the month was Mike Conroy! The former newspaper publisher took his bulldog attitude to the street and sold over 42,000 in Volume for April. Mike’s secret was one he’s proud to share… walking in doors and asking for opinions!
The Heart of America Region’s RM, John Marty, is proud of all his fantastic Dealers and looks forward to more positive growth in the months ahead.
San Antonio Gunslingers
The Gunslingers are coming out of their sales funk! Don Larned and Bob Bozarth wrote EIGHT contracts in one week!
Joel said with a smile, “Congratulations to Louis Aguilar, Sal Salinas and Susan Grey on their “icebreakers”! It’s been a while between contracts and it feels as though they are breaking out again! Tony “T-Bone” Borrego and George Taylor had a fantastic week in Laredo, Texas! Congrats!
A big Gunslinger THANK YOU to DM Will Welsh and RM Michael Wolff for a powerful field training in El Paso! The new Gunslingers are ever-grateful for the amazing training they received.
Phoenix Birds of Prey
The Phoenix Birds of Prey are selling like crazy! Alan Syder placed a set of EMC’s to a Budweiser Distributor.
The Dougs, Doug Dearien and Doug Hibbart are writing contracts every week!
Gary Karas recently sold TWO RGB EMC’s to a Club for a 3400 payday! RM Michael Wolff is very proud of his fantastic team!
Utah Hawks
RM Al Borgers was very excited to get two contracts in one day. His first was a Model 48 double-faced at an Appliance Store. Al was glad to take 900 to the bank for that one. The second was a set of Model 48 panels to a Fire Safety Business that sent him away with 480!
In all his great excitement, he wanted to share the news, so he called President Tom Johnson. Tom gave him great praise and challenged him to go get another one!
Al is not one to let anyone down… so he went out and got that third contract for a “Hat Trick”! He placed new Model 48 panels to an Auto Repair Business. Get this… they had just put up a new sign, but were very unhappy with it! It was the amazing Al Borgers to the rescue! As Al always says, the streets are paved with GOLD!!!
Copper State Cool Rays
RM Harold Weatherly got a great referral from a local TV commercial showing a horrible sign! Harold nudged his wife, Gayle, and told her, “I am going to sell them a sign tomorrow!”
Their signs looked even worse in person! The owner loved the Signtronix signs and decided on TWO Model 510’s!
There was only one thing left to do… and Harold was happy to break the bad news to them. They would have to re-make their TV commercial with the new signs! Harold left the happy business owner with 3626 in commissions!
