Pensacola Blue Angels
New Year, New Faces and New Goals in Pensacola as DM Rick Buchanan introduces the two newest members of The Pensacola Blue Angels. Dave “Night Rider” Waltersdorff scored his Icebreaker on his first day in the field solo with an ISLED-40 at a Flooring Store. Conrad “Hollywood” Robinson is thrilled to have achieved Senior Dealer status and is looking for a long and successful career at Signtronix. David “The Navigator” Adams has been constantly in the field setting his target on being the #1 Dealer again in 2011! After two years in a row being #1 in Contracts, we know he can do it again!
On a recent road trip, RM Robert Prujan was pleased to see all of his pilots returned safe to the hotel with their pockets full of CASH! DM Rick “Buck” Buchanan landed with a pair of Model 328’s at a Mexican Tienda Restaurant where the owner did not speak very much English and Buck speaks even less Spanish, but the VALUE was there and she saw exactly what she had been asking the local sign company (three doors down from her business) to price for the two past months.
David “The Navigator” Adams met up with the owner of a Mobile Home Lot with an existing Signtronix Sign and asked him, “If he was ready for the other half of his sign package?” David went on to explain that the owner’s potential customers can’t read all his banners on the fence at 55 MPH and he needs to “talk” to them in a more efficient way. A set of 2-Line 8’ Tri-Color EMC’s will soon be taking care of that issue.
Not to be left out of this exciting Flight Training was a six week veteran Blue Angel who wanted to get in on the action. Conrad “Hollywood” Robinson landed with an ISLED-40 at a BBQ Restaurant in a busy shopping center and had to make a slight course adjustment to the Chase Bank with his 9th contact. Now he can see Senior Commission just over the horizon.
To top it off, brand new Dealer, Dave “The Night Rider” Waltersdorff, was flying solo for the first time after classroom training. After a couple of days of excellent field training with Buck, he called the Captain to ask if he knew where the closest Hancock Bank might be as he needed to cash a BIG check for his Icebreaker in true Blue Angel style. Another ISLED-40 will soon be on its way to Flooring Company. “This is only the FIRST of many for this serious player and 20+ year veteran of the sign business”.
“Our most gracious THANKS go out to Cynthia Valdez of our TAP Team. We seemed to have kept her in the control tower all day long, as she was giving everyone the backup they needed! We are all blessed with the help we get from the entire TAP group.
Pocono Mountaineers
RM Denny “You’ll never guess what happened to me today” Giacobe had another great day. He and Cathy welcomed their SIXTH Grandchild! Grace, was born on January 18, 2011 and was 8 lbs, 15 oz. Grace has three older brothers to look out for her! Lisa, Denny and Cathy’s oldest daughter, is more than excited to finally have a little girl! “Cathy and I are ecstatic.”
Utah Hawks
RM Yvonne Leavitt, while working her 24 Call Sheet, walked past a business with no sign. Yvonne had to turn around and walk in to find the owner of a 25 year old Tanning Salon. The current owner had taken over a year ago, stating her business was down 50%. Yvonne simply said, “No wonder your business is down. A business with no sign is a sign of no business.” The Tanning Salon owner is now anxiously awaiting the arrival of her outdoor sign. Yvonne says working in single digit temperatures isn’t all that bad!
Carolina Swamp Fox
The Carolina Swamp Fox Region is thankful to have had some great help in field training as they rebuild their powerful Region. Wes and Leisha Shealy want to thank Alabama “A” Team Ron and Brandon Gither as well as Road Warriors Seth and Tim McNeal.
As with true southern tradition, they all enjoyed a great South Carolina barbeque and seafood buffet. Just a little southern hospitality for our visiting field trainers! In the neighborhood? Call Wes and come by to say, “Hey y’all”. The Swamp Fox Region loves visitors!
Southeast Legends
Temperatures are rising in the South. Enough heat is being generated by the Southeast Legends to cause a thaw and break the ice. RM Bill Bennetti was working in the field making lite-ups with Adam Hill and Jason Noble. Bill impressed them both with his sale of a Model 1810 custom art and an LED-40.
Adam made his first lite-up at a Gym called “The Road to Fitness”. They were so impressed that they purchased an LED-40. Bill said, “Adam followed our presentation precisely and truly built the right amount of value.” Jason broke the Ice with his first LED-60 to an Urban Wear Store. The cousin of the owner of the store came in during the presentation, liked what he saw and ordered an LED-60 from Bill Bennetti for his Tanning Salon.
Bill is very proud of everyone and confident the Region will continue to grow! “All the best to everyone in 2011!”
Alabama “A” Team
The Alabama “A” Team is gearing up for a great year and thankful for all the help during their 1st year as a Region. RM Ron Gither can’t thank everyone enough. “I’ve had the opportunity to train with RM Brian Kornuth and work and live with RM Bill Gigax and the Katz. I’ve been able to go to South Carolina and work with RM Wes Shealy’s people. So many other Regional Managers and District Managers have given their support and help. Everyone at the home office has been patient and great to work with. We are currently trying the methods and the wisdom of RM Lance Pelton and doing ride-alongs before training. We are looking forward to our first class of the New Year and already have a few people interested after riding with us.
Jon Howell’s newest personal recruit, Joseph Crauswell, got his Icebreaker in style with some help from Chris Ingemi, DM Brandon Gither and RM Ron Gither. Joseph wasn’t afraid to call for help as he worked hard to help his customer with a Model 36 and a 6ft Tri-Color EMC. That’s great for his first day solo!
New Dealer Ron Lewis is just returning from his two-week training with the Army Reserve and ready to Roll. Scott Bowman is working his way back from Missouri and helping businesses along the way. Jon Howell is working hard and having fun.
RM Ron Gither is proud of his team, thankful for all the help and excited about the year to come. With the help of his son, DM Brandon Gither, this team is going to have a great Year!
Arizona Dream Catchers
The Arizona Dream Catchers are starting off the year in full swing. Doug Dearien, just coming off successful hernia surgery, is out in the field making things happen. New Dealer Ray Molina is looking forward to getting his Icebreaker and then wants to start breaking records.
John Martinez is out in the field and has had a few successes in the month of January. Roland Anthony also has had victories in January. The newest Dream Catcher Dealer Craig Cox is getting his presentation in order so he can earn his samples, then on to new heights with Signtronix.
RM Michael Wolff sees this team as the future of the Arizona region and wishes them all good hunting and great success.
Carolina Panthers
RM Paul Shawley and the Carolina Panthers are off to a strong start this year. Paul with his “right hand girl” Beth Shawley called on a Day Care Center in need of new panels for their existing sign. In talking to the owner, they discovered the Center had information they wanted to get out to the public so they added a Model 328 Marquee to their sign package. Paul and Beth are headed to the bank! Not bad for a day in the field!
Sam Casey has a strong start for the month. He already has two orders under his belt. One was an LED-60 and the second was an LED-40. Congratulations on a nice job!
Paul, Beth and the entire Carolina Panther region would like to wish Bill and Joanna Bennetti much luck and success on their new region. Here’s to a GREAT year!
San Antonio Gunslingers
It has been a BIG start to the new year for RM Joel Pelton and the San Antonio Gunslingers. Greg Sandoval started out the year with 2 contracts. He placed a Model 38 to a Barbeque Joint on Monday and a Model 38 to a Mexican Restaurant on Wednesday! Way to go, Greg! Stephen Jensen just made it to Senior Dealer with a 2 contract day on Tuesday and then followed it up with a nice deal on Wednesday! On Tuesday he placed an ISLED-40 to a Beauty Salon and a Model 36 to an Auto Repair Shop. On Wednesday it was a Model 48 to a Porsche Repair Dealership. Congrats on the RAISE! Gunslingers had a new Icebreaker when James Knudtson placed an LED-40 to a Futon Shop. Congrats, James! Everyone in the region is excited to welcome new Dealer Jeffery Echols!
DM Daniel Reuter doubled, selling two contracts in one day. Then, turned around the next day and hit the jackpot… or as we like to call it, a hat trick. That’s right, THREE Contracts in one day! In fact, Daniel has been such a great example of Signtronix success that a previous Gunslinger has decided to return to the team with new goals and motivation. Great job, Daniel!
The entire Gunslinger team has taken Daniel’s lead and made amazing things happen in the field. Every member of the team has been in the field and sold this month. Kristin Walbrink is especially on fire right now. Guns are blazing and pointed in the direction of victory!
Steel City Eagles
The Steel City Eagles celebrated a successful 2010 with their annual holiday celebration. Everyone dressed to the nines and enjoyed dinner, awards and team camaraderie.
All the Eagles have started 2011 with an amazing motivation to be #1! Keep up the great work, Eagles! Your talent is endless!
Colorado Cougars
The Colorado Cougars have started 2011 strong. DM Robert Bishop completed a great year. He placed in the top ten, won the trip and has built a great District. Greg Hammond hit Senior Dealer and is looking to write over 100 contracts this year! Tom Rooney sold several contracts. Patrick Wellman is looking for his Icebreaker!
DM Jeff Klocke is performing like never before, finishing 2010 like a champion. He won the trip and has goals to bring in at least 60,000 in Volume a month. He wants that ring! Daniel Telley is doing great and new recruit Richard Fowler went on the latest road trip with huge success!
Gary Kortmeyer is the DM in Colorado Springs and doing amazing! He is always on the road with someone from his District. Gary’s personal recruit Dan Proctor just broke the ice!
DM Mike Drew has been on the road with Gary and Robert. They sold a 22,000 contract, then did it again the next day. They are just killing it out there! Keep it up, Mike!
DM Ron MacLachlan is sticking close to Denver working every day. He’s got the amazing opportunity to spend tons of time with his kids while building an amazing District. Lisa Morris was referred to Signtronix by Margo Lindamood who attended a training class in Brad Whistler’s District. Margo was so excited about the Signtronix opportunity that she called her friend Lisa to set up an appointment to interview in Colorado. Lisa has a great future at Signtronix!
DM Anthony Herrera is the right hand man to RM Brian Kornuth assisting him in every way. After promoting Jeff and Robert from his District, Anthony is rebuilding again. Mark Netherton and Mark Olesky are looking forward to a huge 2011!
Indiana Timberwolves
Inside trainer Alan McCamey was out in the field and visited a former Signtronix customer, Pizza Business, with a Model 612 on the building and an old 480 on a pole. He made friends and showed them the benefit of replacing panels in both signs. He called on a Motorcycle Business that he had placed EMC’s with several months ago and the owner told him about a Restaurant owner that went “nuts” over his new EMC’s. Alan tracked down the owner and has an 8ft 2-line d/f Tri-Color EMC on the way. Alan got another referral from a church he placed several months ago and sat down with the “powers that be” on New Years’ Eve and they have two 8ft 3-Line Tri-Color EMC’s and a Model 312 that will be delivered shortly. That’s a nice way to finish 2010! By the way, the Restaurant and the Church were both referrals on our new Cash Rewards Program. It works! It’s nice to have a classroom trainer who practices what he teaches!
DM Bob Hollen placed two LED-60’s at a Flower Shop and a Bargain Store. He also placed an ISLED-40 at a Tanning Salon with lots of overage! Good going, Bob!
Al Ferrari was eating lunch and saw a Restaurant across the parking lot with great windows. He called on the owner and walked away with an order with an IS-40 and an LED-60 with overage! It pays to keep your eyes open at all times. He also placed an LED-40 at a Bar. Al understands if the customer listens with an open mind and understands that our signs will greatly improve their business, the money doesn’t usually matter. Go for it, Al. Tom Badham placed an LED-40 at a Tanning Salon. Tom is determined to be at the top of the Timberwolves Region for 2011. He works hard to make things happen! The Timberwolves are ready for 2011!
Atlanta Bulldogs
RM Taylor Hall said, “Jenny and I would like to thank all the Atlanta Bulldogs for a GREAT 2010! We are looking forward to even more success in 2011.
Congratulations to DM Craig Jarrett for an outstanding year. Craig worked very hard last year, but had to take time off toward the end to help take care of his Mother, but she is doing better and he is ready to lite-up 2011!
DM Marvin Paige received a bonus sign for winning Ray Clark’s contest. Marvin had a tremendous year and is already having a great 2011. He has his eyes on another Lance Sijan award and he has written four contracts in six days to start it off! Congratulations to dealer Michael Penoyar who is recently engaged to his beautiful girlfriend, Ashley Read. They are set to wed in Maui this July! Michael has his goals set and is ready to rock-n-roll this year. Dealer Tom Morris is recommitted to achieving his lite-up goals every week and we know Tom will be an influential force.
Atlanta welcomes two new Dealers to the Bulldogs Region, Sebastian Haase and George Jackson. They are each being field trained by Craig and Marvin, so we know they will be breaking the ice very soon!
Taylor and Jenny are very happy to announce they are expecting their 2nd child and could not be more excited! “Cameron is so ready to be a big sister!”
Nashville Katz
RM Bill Gigax and Janet Kruder were working together and during their lite-up to an Auto Detail Shop the owner called his partner for assistance. The partner also owned another business. The result was two locations sold! The Auto Detail Shop is waiting for an ISLED-40 and the partner’s Karate Studio will be sporting an IS-40 very soon. The next cold and snowy day, Janet sold an LED-60 at a Mini Mart!
Lone Star Rhinos
The Lone Star Rhinos would like to welcome Harold Hutchinson to the team. Harold is looking forward to a Great 2011 with Signtronix. Harold has already received his Icebreaker and is working hard toward Senior Dealer.
Congratulations to Robert Arnold on becoming a District Manager! The Lone Star Rhinos will be opening a District Office in Beaumont, Texas and Robert will be the leader. He’s going to do a great job!
RM Carmen Rodriguez is excited for the New Year. She said, “Thank you, Rhinos, for your hard work!”
Arkansas Diamonds
“The Arkansas Diamonds have been in a re-building mode during the last six months of 2010, but have had a great ending to the year.” reports DM Kirnan Lewis.
“We had a very vigorous training schedule thanks to DM Jeffery Foy. With a concentration on training in Springfield, Missouri in 2011, we are very confident that an entire new market of recruiting is going to have a huge impact on the Region. Jeff is an awesome Trainer, with a huge amount of knowledge of the Sign Business” Kirnan added. “His youthful insight is really going to pay off for us!”
Dealers Doug Bottoroff and Lynn Kelly have been a big asset to the Diamonds. They have both proven to be hard hitters and strong Closers. They are a big part of the success the Diamonds experienced in 2010.
“We have had a very successful year!” said Kirnan. The whole team is proud of the milestones achieved this year. The Diamonds thank RM Howard Foy for starting us out right at the beginning of the year, and credit a ‘Team’ effort for a great ending!
“We thank everyone at the Home Office for all the support given, including our TAP closers. 2011 is going to be our Greatest year to date, both for the DIAMONDS, and Signtronix as a whole. God’s Blessings to all in this ‘New Start’ we have all been given!”
Boston Team Eagle
Jim Dobson, newest member of Boston Team Eagle, is on a mission to get it all. Jim called in from Monster.com, interviewed with Boston Team Eagle RM Steve Ingemi and liked what he saw. He had his indoor training one-on-one with Steve and went home to study over the weekend. Jim wanted practical experience so in the field he went. He called TAP twice on Saturday and once on Sunday and got another education those two days, which he put it to good use. Monday he wrote an LED-40 and Tuesday an ISLED-40 earning almost a grand in two days. Jim is not a stranger to one call close selling. He came to Signtronix from the window and siding industry.
When you hear, “We are snowed in!” it doesn’t apply to those hardy New Englanders. Scott Salkovitz, another new member of Boston Team Eagle, is enjoying these ‘snow days’. He spoke to the owners of Dover Marina, 62 years in business, and showed them the benefit of an LED-60. You don’t stay in business for 62 years without making good decisions and purchasing this sign is one of them! Bright and early the next morning, he spoke with Effie, owner of a Tanning Salon and she wanted her LED-40 on a rush. Keep having fun, especially in the snow!
Lake Charles Swashbucklers
RM Tom DeGroot is looking to increase his manpower and sales in 2011. Thanks to Roger Pelton for his support and “leading the charge”. Roger is in Louisiana helping with the hiring. We understand Tim Bailey and Larry King are working their way to Louisiana to assist in field training.
Chris Burnworth and Tom DeGroot placed an LED-40 to a Gift Shop and an LED-60 to an existing customer, Richard’s Meat Market. Thirty years ago they purchased a Big Sig, which still looks good today! Next, they went to visit Park Restaurant where they placed a Model 45 D/F. Still on a roll they visited Dee’s Lounge, owned by three sisters. Their parents, who originally opened the business 45 years ago, had purchased a Model 480-2. We call this the old pickle sign and Tom said the sign still looks GREAT! Wanting their own image, Dee, Sheree and Gae purchased a Model 46 D/F with their own logo. They plan to take the panels from the old pickle sign and mount them inside the Lounge for nostalgic purposes! Tom DeGroot is a big believer in calling on old customers.
Jamie LeJeune and Tom DeGroot also spent a day in the field where they placed an ISLED-60 to Heavenly Bites & Delites Bakery. Swashbucklers are cookin’! Welcome to new dealers in training this week Jason Shoults, Nathan Houge, Brandon Victorian, Matt Hanna, Jeremiah Trahan and Jon Dillion Augustine.
Sunshine Divisional Meeting
The Annual Sunshine Divisional Seminar was a great success! Ray Clark’s Seminar and Sun-N-Fun Party was held at the St. Augustine Beach Front Resort. New Dealers in attendance were Golden Eagles Jeff Shafner and Jimmy & Deesa Shaw and Atlanta Bulldog Sebasian Haase. Contest Winners included Mike Carter, Taylor Hall, Dave Rich, Stephanie Kearney, Marvin & Keesha Paige, Steve & Brenda Watts, Jennifer & Doug Clark, Beth & Paul Shawley, Ray Clark & Marilee. It’s so exciting to hear all the winners speaking and sharing the reasons for their success. “It was powerful inspiration for reaching new levels of success throughout 2011!”
