Ever since Bill got into the field for the first time a couple of weeks ago, he’s been racking up the contracts, as he pays close attention to Paul’s mentoring and then goes out and makes it happen. After closing Model 34s, Headliners and inside signs, Paul asked Bill if the businesses he’s selling need signs. Of course he replied “yes;” they have old signs, damaged signs or no signs and definitely understand how a new Signtronix sign will help them. “Well, then, try talking with them about larger signs.” Bill immediately went out and placed a Model 48 that earned him 670.

Bill got started by watching visiting trainer Robert Prujan do it right and was on the scene when Paul closed a Model 36 and then a 46 and put over 1,250 in his pocket. Then, Bill was just out having fun and showing owners our product when he wrote up a Model 34 at a daycare center.
Paul calls Bill a real sparkplug for the region, but his wife Joanna gets some of the credit. On a Friday he called her at 5:30 without a contract. Joanna asked him how many presentations he had made that day. When he told her “four,” she told him to keep going until he had his fifth – and that call was the one that did it. In addition to his great attitude in the field, Paul said Bill is showing leadership in helping others in the region.
Two other victories for the Panthers came from R.O. McFadden, who placed an ISLED- 40, and Bernie Davis, who wrote an order for a Model 36 with 500 in overage and brought it into the office the next day, where he wowed members of the new class. The next day, he closed two orders, a 48, again with good overage, and a 36 plus a 6-foot E.M.C. that earned him 1,200. Then, Bernie went out Friday with a new dealer and showed him a Model 38 placement, which brought his total earnings for the week to more than 2,400.
Bernie told Paul early on, “I get it!” He really understands value and how the presentation works, but the real secret to his success, Paul said, is that he studies. “I study before I go to bed. I give the presentation in front of a mirror every morning to get the juices flowing.” And Bernie said he loves the idea of not having competition when he’s in the field.
As Paul and Beth were on the way to enjoy a weekend vacation, they stopped for coffee. An hour later, they walked out of the coffee shop with an order for a 12-foot Headliner.

Before joining Signtronix, Tony Olescko was driving a Federal Express truck where drivers are offered a bonus for getting leads for new business. With his great personality and drive, he was a natural. Now he’s directing his efforts toward helping customers build their businesses with better signs.
His first two weeks, Tony was trying to earn his Icebreaker Pin without success. When Regional Manager Henry Velez waltzed into the office with a 1,500 commission for a Model 510, Henry used that as a basis to explain to Tony about building value in the product.
Tony got his first lite-up just after that which resulted in a big placement with big overage at an auto repair business. The prospect kept telling him to come back the next day and he’d let him know his decision. Tony didn’t budge … “Two cars just passed by outside. That cost you 200,” Tony told him. “There goes another hundred dollars passing you by. You could pay for this sign by tomorrow!”
Henry said Tony is really fired-up. Saturday he put another 2,000 in the bank when he wrote up a Model 46 double-face and 326 for a physical therapy clinic.
