DM for the Northwest Eager Beavers Stephanie Kearney…This is her Story.
In September of 1999, I was a single mother of five children and was hardly making ends meet with an advertising sales position in Portland, Oregon. I did not believe I was helping my customers and, as a result, was not realizing my potential. When the company spiraled to failure, so did I. This action prompted me to pick up the newspaper and find another opportunity. I answered an ad and Bill Henry invited me to become a member of his sales team. I accepted immediately and was there the next day for training.
There were some vital qualities of this opportunity that impacted my decision. First, it was the money… INSTANT MONEY! We are the first to get paid. WOW! No sales cycle to wait on. Second, there was a product that I believed would actually help the people that I did business with. And third, there was a proven program that was responsible for the success of a lot of people. Along with all that there is a support system that is deeply ingrained into the culture of Signtronix. I was thrilled to be on board.
I learned the program. I felt the excitement. I organized my family, and I went to work. I felt like I had finally found a home with a company that I was proud to represent. My success with Signtronix was tremendous. Bill Henry told me that a single woman with children could succeed in this company, and he was right! Within six months of my start date, I was promoted to District Manager and then within a year I was promoted to Regional Manager of the Northwest.
Recently, the opportunity arose to combine forces and work under Bill Henry as a DM. I was thrilled! With Bill’s knowledge and support, I know I’ll be successful as a DM. Although it seems like a step back from RM, it’s really and truly a step forward for me. I am spending more time with my kids and I love being back in the field again.
I am no longer just scraping by. We no longer live in a three-bedroom apartment and drive a car with dents. We live in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. Our house has five bedrooms and a swimming pool. We have plenty of room and summers at home are like a vacation. It has been a dream come true!
